So... I have to admit that I have been so preoccupied lately with other things that I have been neglecting to sit and work with Noah on things he needs to get ready for Kindergarten. Well I decided that today was the day. So I took out a white board and pen and started to write letters. After we had established that Noah is very confident with his sounds I moved onto simple words, CAT DOG SIT BOX, etc... He said, "Mommy, this is a fun game." Good, he was motivated. So I thought, maybe I'll try small sentences. He floored me and sounded out each words and then repeated the sentence back to me fluently. Wow! He is really catching on, I thought. Then he asked if he could write some words. Of course! This is what he wrote, his first time trying a sentence. I gave him no prompt. Then he illustrated the sentences. If you ask him, his sentence was "A CAT RAN ON A BOX"

Then I pointed out that some words were missing in the sentence, like A & ON. So he erased his drawing and wrote a new sentence. This was his second attempt. Note: CAO means COW and he now wrote the words ON & A. Need to work on those R's but hey, I'm just floored that he can do this much!

Then he said that he knew a good one... his third attempt.

I know that I'm a bit biased because I'm his mommy, but I think this is pretty amazing for a boy that just turned 4 years old in November!
