Here's Snowball!

Here is our newest acquisition. He is 2 months old and was given to the pet store with the rest of his litter. We had 2 hamsters named Blueberry and Buttons. Buttons died a few weeks ago and I sent Jason down to the pet store to get a plastic tube to connect the two cages together so that Blueberry had 2 cages to run around in. Apparently the tubes were going to cost $13 and then Jason found a hamster for free, hmmm... you see what line of thinking won out. So now we again have 2 hamsters in their 2 separate cages. Snowball is a male "Winter White" Russian Dwarf Hamster. He is doing really well already. Blueberry is not hand trained and bites everyone. Snowball has been held extensively since we got him yesterday and he has not nibbled once, YAY! He's a sweet little thing and the kids adore him!

Snow Day, No School, No Work!

Holy Cow! We woke up to quite a bit of snow. School is cancelled, they don't plow the roads up here and we don't have 4 wheel drive, so we're housebound for the day, YAY! And it's only 7 a.m. and still snowing. I'm sure we'll have lots of fun pictures to show throughout the day!

Day at the Sacramento Temple

We had our primary activity at the Sacramento Temple and had such a fun time learning more about ancient and modern day temples. When we were done with our classes we had fun with the Hollister Family taking tons of pictures!

Noah, my sweet boy! He was soooo done with picture taking, but then he found a tree he could climb, yay, I got a few more!


I never need to find reasons to take pictures of Emma, she is always ready and willing!



It was a great afternoon!

Busy Day, later this night we had our ward Christmas party, a night in Bethlehem. We all dressed in period costumes, brought our canned food "to be taxed" and enjoyed a bustling Bethlehem market place where we were furnished with a bag of gold to spend how we chose, we purchased meat, bread, and fruit, were able to buy gifts and play dreydel games at the toy shop. Later in the evening we got to hear the beautiful words of Luke 2 in the Bible and saw a re-enactment of the Christmas story. It was a beautiful night!






Emma and Noah were really excited about Joseph and Mary because they are their primary teachers at church.

Noah's Birthday Party

Noah's Scooby Doo Party was so much fun! The kids had to solve a mystery which was that the "Birthday Bandit" stole Noah's cake! He left a clue to find him though and we followed the clues around the house. The 1st clue was to find scooby's tag and put it back on him.
Then we found a clue that led us to the playroom where there were ghosts floating around and the kids popped them all. Out of one of the ghosts came the next clue.

The next clue led us to Scooby, who was hungry and we had to toss Scooby snacks into his mouth.
Then we had to feed ourselves, so we frosted dog bone sugar cookies!
The dad's were such good sports when we disguised them as mummy's to escape the bandit!

We armed the kids with silly string so that when the "Birthday Bandit" appeared we could trap him.
Well he appeared and the kids went crazy!
Noah laughed so hard when he unmasked the Bandit and found out that it was his Daddy! Then Dad explained that Dad's never get enough birthday cake because of all the meddling kids!

We saved the cake and Noah was really excited!
