Black Chasm Caverns!

The Black Chasm Caverns were beautiful! They just opened up in the year 2000 for tourists. Emma and Noah loved being in the cold spooky cave. Noah called it "Scary Fun!" They like to pretend they are like Dora and Diego exploring so this was right up their alley. We had to go down hundreds of stairs to reach the bottom and cross a bridge over another 200 foot drop down to a river. When we had just made it to the very bottom of the tour, Noah decided that he had to pee and he had to go bad! The tour guide had just stressed the importance of not touching any of the formations or walls with our bodies because the oil in our bodies would stop the growth of the cave. So, I figured that pee might stop the growth as well. I grabbed Noah and ran up the stairs as fast as I could. Thank heavens the cave was a constant 57 degrees, because when I made it to the top I was sweating! We just made it out of the gated entrance when Noah exploded! Whew, what a workout!

4th of July Bike Parade

Every 4th of July we meet at the church early in the morning for a pancake breakfast and parade. The kids were so excited to really be able to participate this year because Emma has a bike and Noah has a scooter. For the last couple of years we've pulled them in a wagon or pushed them in strollers. This was really exciting for them!

We love Baby Tyler!

The kids are crazy about our best friends' baby Tyler. He loves to smile and play with them and Noah loves to hold him!

JellyStone Camping

Jellystone Camping was a lot of fun! Yogi and Boo Boo frequently stopped by to say hi to the kids. There was a mini-put golf course, swimming pool, arcade, and camp led crafts for the kids. It was just a weekend excursion, but we had fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa Zwinggi.
