This last weekend was difficult. My cousin, David, died and we had his funeral on Friday. It was very difficult for me, but I'm thankful for my knowledge of the Gospel and that I know that he is out of pain now, healthy, and happy, that I will see him again someday.
We met Jason's parents on Saturday for a day at the zoo. It was a good day, but ended badly as when we went to our car, we found that it had been broken into! The huge side window was busted out and a lot of our stuff was stolen. We had 2 DVD players, a GPS unit, and all of our luggage filled with clothes. The only satisfaction I received was the knowledge that one of our DVD players didn't work and the one that did work... they left the adapter and power cord, serves them right! It was shocking and the kids were really upset. Emma tried to understand why someone would want to steal her Little Mermaid bathing suit. On the way home, blowing in the wind (from the broken window) she told us that maybe the "bandits" (what she called them), had babies at home and didn't have enough money to feed them, so they took our stuff to sell to feed their hungry babies. So innocent. Then she proceeded to tell Jason that when we got home she wanted to get all the toys that she didn't play with and put them on a table outside and sell them to get the money to buy him a new GPS, since we only got it for him last month. So sweet. Oh well life goes on!
